Welcome to Roots! My name is Amelia and I have been a florist for around 14 years now. I've worked in all areas of floristry from high end venues in London doing overnight installs up very tall ladders in the rain, to very early mornings freelancing in 40 degree heat in the Cotswolds. Since moving to Kent from London to have my second child five years ago, I have spent the last few years managing florist shops locally.

 

Roots was born with a dream to supply Tunbridge Wells with beautiful, seasonal, scented flowers that are lovingly grown by local farmers often from seed. With so many wonderful flowers on offer on our doorstep, buying locally means we are lowering our carbon footprint, offering flowers that are not sprayed with chemicals and also living in tune with the seasons. The choice of flowers is abundant throughout the year with species of flowers not available from the Dutch markets.

We offer local delivery for bunches of flowers along with an assortment of other gifts. Please do get in touch regarding wedding, events or farewell flowers offered throughout the year.

 

Alongside the flowers, the shop stocks refillable shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and skincare products alongside plants, pots and gifts, cards and wrapping paper – all lovingly chosen from trusted suppliers, mostly small businesses with a great ethos, story or ethical inclinations.
